Why I became a coach........

I started coaching following training at Kingstone College in 2025, resulting in a Professional Diploma in Mentoring and Coaching. For the previous 6 years, I was Head of Sales for the IoT division, at an American Technology company, with its operations in Germany.

Following almost 4 decades of Business Experience, working in 6 countries, in a variety of commercial roles, and in multiple industries (Electronics, Software, Telco, Banking, Consulting), I realised that I had a wealth of experience to draw from. This includes from start-ups and global corporates.

Friends and colleagues gave me the feedback that I would make an excellent coach, due to my insights in leadership and teams, my listening skills, empathy, my love of life and positive attitude. And above all, my authenticity.

What appeals to me is to combine my own career & business experience with these soft skills, to help others. Many coaches just do not have the Business experience. This also allows me to adopt a more directive approach as mentor, or using coaching techniques (which are less directive than mentoring) to help you to find your own answers.
